The Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Green Functional Materials and Environmental Chemistry (formerly known as the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Environmental Materials and Environmental Engineering) is a provincial key laboratory approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in October 2005, relying on Yangzhou University. The laboratory closely focuses on the national development strategy goals, focuses on the key support of new material technology and resource and environmental technology fields by the country and Jiangsu Province, is committed to basic scientific research and technological innovation leadership, strengthens the research and development of green key technologies, relies on the interdisciplinary intersection of chemistry, materials, environment, and life, focuses on the greening of material preparation, service and disposal throughout the entire life cycle, high-performance and environmentally friendly materials, and uses material technology to achieve efficient and intelligent environmental monitoring and remediation, forming four research directions: new green functional material chemistry, design and green preparation of environmentally friendly materials, environmental analysis and monitoring based on functional materials, pollutant degradation and low-carbon environmental remediation. At the same time, based on interdisciplinary research and the integration of industry, academia, and research, we will build a green functional materials and environmental chemistry research and innovation platform that integrates scientific research, technological innovation, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation, with national competitiveness and international influence.
